JPN Apex Trauma Centre throughout its evolution into the esteemed premier institution for trauma care since 2006, has owed a lot to the Nursing department due to their direct involvement in almost all aspects of hospital quality, including comprehensive patient care, bedside medication management, assistance with all major and minor surgeries, data collection/reporting and more. Trauma nurses at JPNATC are among the first health care professionals to provide medical assistance for life saving emergencies. The core task of trauma nurses is to provide immediate and effective medical care needed to stabilize the patient in critical condition and work collaboratively with the attending physicians and surgeons to ensure continuity of care to trauma victim patients. Trauma nurses at JPNATC also function as liaison for other major tasks through expanded roles of Trauma Nurse Coordinator, Hospital Infection Control Nurse, Wound Care and surveillance Nurse, ORBO nurse, Nurse Informatics Specialist (NIS) etc.

Nursing administration
A nurse administrator oversees the work of other nursing officers. A nurse administrator has a broad and versatile range of responsibilities. Trauma administrative nurses work as health care administrators to ensure proper functioning of all emergency systems and personnel. They have managerial duties such as training and evaluation of staff and to ensure effectiveness of patient care. The nursing administrative responsibilities in JPNATC have various levels such as Deputy Nursing Superintendent, Assistant Nursing Superintendent and area In Charges/Senior Nursing Officers who work under the proficient guidance of Nursing Superintendent, Ms. Nanki Rani.
