BLOOD BANK

Blood bank at JPNA Trauma Center is a full time blood bank that is open round the clock to render services to the patients of trauma centre, AIIMS. The blood bank had initially been started as a blood storage center in November 2006. This blood storage center collected tested blood component units from CN Center blood bank for issue to the patients in trauma center. After issue of the license for running a full fledged blood bank, on 28th March, 2008 the blood bank started the in-house blood collection from healthy donors, component separation and testing of the collected blood units. Since then the blood bank in JPNA Trauma Center has been functioning as a full fledged blood bank with component separation.
